The revolutionary front drag/small size technology of the Shimano Baitrunner DL is available to a large extent, at a lesser price, with the Shimano 10000 Baitrunner ST reel.
Activating the baitrunner lever puts the reel into freespool, paying out line after a bite until you are ready to make the strike.
The XT-7 spool has Varispeed for better line lay and casting accuracy, built-in Dyna Balance to reduce vibration, and Power Roller gears to reduce line twist on the retrieve.
